PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
A Johnston native, Grant founded Elevate Physical Therapy’s Ankeny office in 2019 and has loved watching the Elevate community grow ever since. He brings a deep well of experience to his practice, having worked with patients across the spectrum—from those recovering from everyday injuries or managing chronic pain, to elite athletes and injured military personnel performing at the highest levels.
“I love helping patients overcome fear or uncertainty about physical therapy,” he says. “My goal is to make them feel comfortable, understood, and empowered—while building a treatment plan that’s effective, clear, and even enjoyable.”
Grant earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Iowa and ran track collegiately at Iowa State University. He also spent several years coaching cross country and track, experiences that deepened his expertise in running mechanics and injury prevention. He has advanced training in dry needling and running gait analysis, and has a special interest in working with injured athletes, individuals with chronic pain, complex cases, and workers’ compensation patients.
Outside the clinic, Grant stays active through running, weightlifting, and spending time outdoors with his wife Maddie, daughter Annie, and their dog, Kora.
