Krista grew up in NE Iowa and was an active participant in sports and martial arts. She sustained hip injuries in college which required surgery while in physical therapy school. She became passionate about treating pelvic health, as her surgeries led to personal issues affecting her pelvic health. She is trained through Herman & Wallace institute for Pelvic Health Education, and IMPACT institute for a Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
Her approach to treating patients is focused on holistic care and understanding; looking for the cause of the injury vs just focusing on the painful or affected areas to assure improvements in function and to help avoid re-injury. “I focus on your goals and interests as the patient to direct treatment so it is fun and meaningful. My goal is to help you get back to doing what you love.”
Krista lives in Ankeny with her husband and two daughters (and two dogs). She enjoys traveling, hiking, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.
