Back pain is so common that most people will experience it at some point in their lives. In fact, the American Physical Therapy Association says that at any given time, one in four Americans will have experienced back pain within the past three months. That’s a lot of aching backs!

You don’t have to be a pro to be an athlete. If you run, you’re a runner. If you swim, you’re a swimmer. Whether you train to compete or simply train to be strong, there is nothing more devastating than an injury.

When you say the words “physical therapy” most people automatically assume you have had surgery. Yet physical therapy goes far beyond just post-surgical care.
Our dedicated team at Elevate Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine – Ankeny is made up of the Ankeny physical therapy community’s leading experts.
Our physical therapists at Elevate Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine – Ankeny are compassionate, caring, and ambitious when it comes to assisting you in reaching your peak performance while causing the least amount of discomfort.

After having lumbar spinal surgery in the summer of 2018, I was very stiff and had a limited range of motion. Daily tasks such as sitting, cleaning, and driving were difficult and painful. After coming to JPT and working with Bekah for 4 months, I am able to work full time, go for long walks, and complete daily tasks as normal. My experience here has been nothing short of fantastic! Every single person I worked with was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I dreaded that first appointment but Grant did make me feel relaxed and explained everything we would be doing. His one on one treatments were by far better than anything I had experienced previously.
Alyssa who is a real “pro” therapist put me through the pace of getting stronger! The therapy worked so well and I did not need surgery!
This is the only place to go if you want to get better. After two surgeries for a ruptured Achilles tendon and 5 years of therapy at a DIFFERENT location. I had all but given up that I would ever be free of pain and able to walk without a limp. Then I found JPT. JPT is the ONLY place to find health. Listen to them and you will be amazed. Thank you!
I simply wanted to say a big, “Thank you” for all you did to help both Deb and I recover from our respective maladies. Your collective smiles, attitudes, and encouragement were amazing…And even helped me forget all the torture! You all helped me through a difficult time and your kindness and “can do” attitude has really meant a lot. You will always be greatly appreciated!
The people at Johnston Physical Therapy are some of the nicest, professional, and encouraging people in the field I have met. Without the encouragement to begin building muscle, I may have been on a path to be back for more therapy later in the year with my half marathon training, but now I know I can’t just run, I need to strength train to remain injury free. I plan to refer people who need physical therapy to JPT for all that they can do.
